In an interview for his film Annie Hall for the New York Times, Academy Award winner Woody Allen said, “80 percent of success is showing up.”  It is a lesson our NYMA cadets are learning.  On these cold and snowy days, it can be challenging to leave the barracks and venture either left toward Scarborough Hall for science or math, or right to the Academic Building for humanities, but it is something we need to do.  Once there we can continue the job we are tasked – learning.  This week marks the end of the term and as our Corps heads home I am sure they will enjoy the lesser known part of Allen’s ’77 quote: “Sometimes it’s easier to hide home in bed.”  True.  But for our Corps, easier isn’t better.  So, enjoy the break. Next year (two weeks away) we will be back to getting you on track to success!
