“Toujours Prêt”

Admission to the
New York Military Academy

Why NYMA?

Unlike most college preparatory schools, the New York Military Academy’s mission couples academic excellence with sound military training.  NYMA is here to develop leaders with sharp minds, strong bodies, and sound character through an immersive and rigorous program of academics, athletics, and military discipline guided by the code that a cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.

“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any fellow Cadets, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”

Getting Started

Step 1

Request Information and Schedule a Visit

You’ll first want to create a login for your personalized student portal, which will facilitate communication and access to information about the Academy experience.

CREATE A NYMA ACCOUNT

Step 2

Check your Eligibility to Apply

An Eligible Applicant to the Academy is of Sound Moral Character, and between the grades of 7th and PG.

Step 3

Complete Application and Submit Supporting Documentation

The admissions process begins with parents submitting Part I of our application online and paying the application fee ($100).  Parts 2-5 will then be sent to you, which include the Authorization to Release Records form.  This release form must be signed and returned to us.  You will then submit a copy of the form to the current school so we can receive the applicant’s education records.

Step 4

Contact Your Admissions Officer and Schedule an Interview

After reviewing the student application and school records, interviews are scheduled for potential students.  The purpose of the interview is to assess how well New York Military Academy’s educational offerings set the student up for success.  International candidates are interviewed via Skype.
