A Message from the AOG President
Greetings to all NYMA alumni! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Ignazio "Iggy" Terranova, class of 1992, and I am proud to be the president of the Association of Graduates. My mission is to develop and strengthen the lifelong relationship between all alumni and the Academy through active participation in Academy events, and to welcome new graduates to our illustrious organization.
As stated by our past president, Harry Judge, the Association of Graduates is an active organization that exists to serve you, the NYMA alumni, for the benefit, welfare and improvement of the Academy and its community. The Association works to support the Board of Trustees and the Academy's administration to maintain the 120-year history of the Academy as one of the nation's premier private college preparatory military schools.
In conjunction with supporting NYMA's endeavors, I plan to continue the traditions set forth by our own organization. For the past several years, a number of events have been instituted that directly involve our alumni such as the Sports Hall of Fame, Career Knights, Alumni Weekend and the Alumni Memorial Service. As president, one of my objectives for the upcoming year is to provide additional events exclusive to our alumni and family members.
Since the school's founding in 1889, more than 6,500 cadets have graduated from New York Military Academy with 3,700 active alumni from around the world. Alumni membership provides unique opportunities to network with fellow graduates and to contribute positively to the on-going life of our Academy. To ensure another 120 years of excellence at our beloved school, it is essential that we continue to support the Association of Graduates and NYMA by remaining active in all of our future endeavors.
Thank you, and I look forward to an exciting tenure as president.
Sincerely,
Ignazio "Iggy" Terranova
President, Association of Graduates
