Mr. Sneath, a
retired Navy Captain, joined New York Military Academy, in October of 2008, as
the Director of External Operations. Mr. Sneath is responsible for overseeing
all external operations of the Academy focused upon but not limited to: Public
Affairs, Admissions, Development, Alumni Affairs, as well as overall
fund-raising strategies.
Mr. Sneath
brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to New York Military Academy.
Having a career in education stretching over 20 years, serving as a
Superintendent at Howe Military Academy and the V.P. of Development at Randolph
Macon, the unique knowledge Mr. Sneath has developed over the tenure of his
career is essential for the Academy's efforts to continue our mission of
preparing young men and women for their college bound years and for the
challenges they will face in their adult years.
Prior to
entering the educational field Mr. Sneath served in the U.S. Navy from 1964 -
1990, ending his career as a Captain. In addition, Mr. Sneath is a Designated
Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor and has over 16 years of experience in
counseling individuals in personal financial matters as well as institutional
fundraising.
Mr. Sneath has
both a BS and MBA, from Western Michigan University. Married with 4 children
and 8 grandchildren, Mr. Sneath and his wife Fran, reside in
Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y.
