College Planning and Guidance

The college planning process takes time.  At NYMA, not only do the Guidance Counselor, the Registrar and the Academic Dean shepherd students through the process, but often other members of the staff participate.  It is not uncommon for the Superintendent, the Senior Army Instructor for JROTC and the Commandant of Cadets to offer advice on the serivce academies, the military colleges and the ROTC scholarship program.  The athletic director and the coaches guide students through the NCAA process.  However, much comes back to the faculty advisor.  To make the process more manageable, we have provided a checklist of things to consider and when.
